Robotics and Industrial Automation
Polyurethane tubing, commonly used for Robotics and Industrial Automation systems has one challenge, it’s slippery and hard to grip when installing Push-Lok fittings.
Polyurethane hoses are extensively used for liquid transfer and cooling on robots used on assembly lines. Unfortunately they have a finite lifetime and shutting down an assembly line to replace them is expensive. Due to the nature of the hose and wire routing through the umbilical on robot arms, installing a new hose with the fittings already installed can increase repair time substantially.
This is where the Barb-Tech™ Poly-Lock tool comes in, a new piece of polyurethane hose can be installed/routed and the fittings easily installed on the spot.
Barb-Tech™ Poly-Lock Hose Assembly Tool
Barb-Tech™ Poly-Lock Hose Assembly Tool has a clamp system designed to grip the slippery polyurethane hose making Push-Lok fitting installations fast and easy on you hands.
The tool develops nearly 3X the fitting insertion force achievable by hand.
Portable light weight design allows workers to bring the tool to the robot and automation area, substantially reducing down time.
Grips difficult to hold hoses
Polyurethane hose is known for it’s slippery coating. Our tool, has a uniquely designed clamp system designed specifically to hold this type of hose securely – allowing your repair personnel to easily install the fittings securely and correctly on location.
Down Time = Money
Down time is critical inn your automation system – when down time = money lost during production. Tool is hand-held and portable, allowing your repair staff to replace and repair hose fittngs and hoses right on a the location.
